Our range of IC sports glasses are available with optional prescription inserts for either multifocal, single vision or bifocal sunglasses.
Before ordering your prescription glasses, check out below the differences between the different lens types so that you can be sure you order the correct prescription lens for your needs.
Bifocal sunglasses are created with two different areas of vision correction, which are divided by a distinct line that sits horizontally across the lens.
With bifocal eyewear, the upper part of the lens is generally used for distance vision, while the lower part is used for near vision. Polarized bifocal sunglasses also offer protection from UV glare and the harmful rays in the atmosphere..
Single vision lenses
What are single vision glasses? Single vision lenses are prescribed if you need correction for one field of vision, either for distance, intermediate (computer), or items up close (near vision).
What are multifocal sunglasses?
Multifocal lenses have multiple prescriptions all in one lens. There is typically a prescription for very close objects: one prescription for normal objects viewed at a distance, and then prescriptions for intermediate distances which is perfect for computer usage.
